People will be quite surprised by Jean Vilain: Jean-Claude Van Damme

Martial arts and fitness always have typified Hollywood actor Jean-Claude Van Damme. The actor, who has been synonymous with the genre of action movies, is in a gung ho spirit about his current onscreen endeavor The Expendables 2.
The icing on the cake being, Van Damme's onscreen portrayal of a negative character -- Jean Vilain. This time, the actor joins the elite league of action heroes like Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis renowned for their contribution to the genre of action with movies Rambo, Terminator and Die Hard respectively.
The Hard Target star, here has a challenge of making himself emphatically visible onscreen with his grey shades and charisma amid a star studded cast that also includes actors Jason Statham, Jet Li, Chuck Norris et al. Nonetheless, it was yet another task that did not come as a hard target to attain as the actor feels his fans "have never seen him like this before".
Offering his perspective on the role in the movie, Van Damme says, "People have never seen me like this before. Usually I play 'hero'. And I think people will be quite surprised by Jean Vilain - who is fearlessly hell-bent on destroying the Expendables despite the risk of self-destruction. He's willing to die and eventually when Vilain and Barney meet one-on-one, it'll end up being a hellacious battle until the very end."
While Hollywood action flicks enjoy a dedicated fan base and patronage in India, The Expendables 2 is another action offering to the Indian audiences looking for more of action from Hollywood.
